Why choose Nortech Advanced NDT as your Structural Inspection Provider

Company

Many of the core leadership team and technician base have been working together at Nortech for a significant period of time. The Nortech Organization has roots that date back to the 1980’s then rebranded to Nortech in 2009. One of our strengths has been the ability to maintain our core people and over time deepen our leadership team with additional strategic hires to meet the needs of the industries that we support. Our primary focus has been providing advanced NDT services, however, we have been providing structural inspections since our inception. Our people have gained invaluable experience, knowledge and insight performing multiple types of inspections. Our experience is diverse and has been engaged to support inspection of items such as drill rigs, cranes, rigging, new fabrications, piping, fittings, castings, and weldments. With all the types of equipment and assets we have inspected, chances are we have done an inspection on what you may require inspected.

Our Technicians

In addition to external certification of inspectors, it is important to Nortech to be able to understand the experience and competency of our personnel through our thorough internal competency program. This program captures technician’s competency upon hire and through regular intervals to ensure ongoing understanding and adherence to our quality program. Initial competency follows the requirements of SNT-TC1A, a standard that provides guidance on qualification of individuals through a series of demonstrations. Individuals who hold external certifications (eg. CGSB) are assessed through both written and practical competency demonstrations. This is captured, with a required amount of field experience to ensure that they are qualified to execute inspections in the field and that Nortech is confident in their abilities. These demonstrations ensure that all inspectors are assessed on a regular basis. Additional competency assessments are captured through in-field auditing where our experienced auditors will join the technicians in a field or shop-based setting observing an employee performing an assigned task based on predefined client requirements to determine if there are any quality or safety related coaching that can be provided.

We are COR certified, compliant with numerous safety systems, along with our own internal processes, we have a full-time team of safety personnel, we are committed to the environment, the public, our staff, and their families. Our safety culture is also proven, with over 1,000,000 man-hours with no lost time incidents.
